They find that although there are now over 350 million devices worldwide that are capable of accessing YouTube (including the runaway success of the iPad, with some forecasters estimating that 100 million of the devices will sell in 2012), the financial crisis of the recent past, combined with continuing high unemployment rates and a depressed housing market, may conspire to hold down the purchase of online video content in the near future.
